On May 18th from 6:15–9 PM, experience the North Carolina premiere of Growing Pains at the historic Rialto Theatre in Raleigh. Presented by CATALYZE HER in proud partnership with Hope for Teens, the LGBTQ Center of Raleigh, and Wake Forest Pride, this special screening weaves together powerful storytelling and purposeful advocacy.
Growing Pains is a critically acclaimed coming-of-age feature film inspired by the real-life experiences of filmmaker Catherine Argyrople, a childhood cancer survivor, and Mariana Fabian, an Oak City writer whose story reflects the layered journey of growing up queer in a Hispanic household.
Featured in the 2024 Sundance Film Festival’s Diversity Spotlight by Nielsen and premiered at the Chelsea Film Festival in New York City, Growing Pains explores identity, sexuality, mental health, and friendship.
Come celebrate the voices that need to be heard—and the stories that help us heal.
