Hollywood’s transition from silent films to talkies wasn’t smooth, but it sure was stylish. Equal parts satire of showbiz and sheer cinematic bliss, it’s the movie musical that still leaves audiences grinning decades later.
Come for the rain, stay for the toe-tapping, and leave humming.
